Pianist Angela Draghicescu and oboist Kostas Tiliakos come together for a unique evening of colorful and evocative music for oboe and piano. The recital will include repertoire from shimmering French compositions to exquisite contemporary works, including the premiere of Romanian composer Dan Dediu's piece, Time Tattoos.
The Draghicescu/Tiliakos duo performs regularly, promoting the beautiful chamber repertoire for oboe and piano throughout Europe and the U.S. Their recital debut on the Seattle scene is a preview of their upcoming Carnegie Hall debut in July 2016 of works by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and Seattle native William Bolcom.
