Spring Rites

Music theory students at Seattle Pacific University sponsor a performance of short pieces that they have written. Their pieces feature 20th-century composition techniques such as set theory, chordal planing, serialism, and 12-tone technique. Genres span from impressionistic to expressionistic, minimalism to avant garde, and much more. This performance serves as the students' capstone event after two years of music theory and ear training under Dr. Brian Chin. Refreshments will be available after the show.
