The Live Music Project – Seattle’s community calendar for classical and contemporary music – is looking for a grantwriting intern as we grow our local programs and prepare to serve other cities in the fall.
The grantwriting intern will work closely with LMP executive director Shaya Lyon and board chair Kevin Clark, to keep our grant application cycle flowing. Kevin led the development of the innovative digital grantmaking and advocacy platform for New Music USA.
This internship will give you the hands-on experience in institutional fundraising including that non-profit organizations love to see in potential hires.
Prior grantwriting experience is nice to have but not required. More important: writing skills! Grantwriting is about telling a story.
Our internship programs put a strong emphasis on participation, guidance, and mentorship, so you can expect hands-on involvement with a good balance of autonomy and feedback along the way. All internships are unpaid.
As an intern, your contributions will reach thousands of people each month – from young kids to retirees – and help them find music they love.
Interested? We’d love to hear from you. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief introduction.
