Héctor Armienta – World Premiere New Work: “La Conquista”
Antonio Vivaldi – Montezuma, RV 723

Holding a mirror to our shared legacy, “The Other Conquest” is a musical and dramatic exploration of excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi’s opera Motezuma, RV 723, and of a new work entitled “La Conquista” composed specifically for this performance by Héctor Armienta with a libretto by Redmond, Washington’s Poet Laureate, Raúl Sánchez. “The Other Conquest” asks how far have we come in 500 years and where are we going? Lecture beforehand by Paula Madrigal, Conductor, and expert panel at 6:30pm. This event is free of charge. Reserve your seat(s) by emailing info@orquestanw.org.
