Praised for their “piquancy, tenderness, wit and vivacity” (BBC Music Magazine), Renaissance chamber ensemble Doulce Mémoire performs an intimate program celebrating the art of Leonardo da Vinci, recorded at the beautiful residence where the great master lived his final years. The legendary Renaissance polymath was a highly regarded improvisatory musician in his time and even invented new instruments. While none of his own compositions have survived, director Denis Raisin Dadre has crafted a selection of Renaissance musical masterworks that he feels are evocative of the great Leonardo’s paintings. The result is an immersive experience full of a vibrant harmony of visual art and music.

Recorded at Château du Clos Lucé, Amboise, France.

The broadcast will be premiere on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific, and remain available until the end of the day (Eastern) on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
