Gustav Mahler – Symphony No. 7
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra celebrates Gustav Mahler’s birthday with a special digital premiere performance of his Seventh Symphony conducted by the CSO’s late Helen Regenstein Conductor Emeritus Pierre Boulez. Featured in a 2011 PBS Great Performances telecast, this October 2010 concert recorded live in Orchestra Hall displays the extravagant orchestral effects of Mahler’s “agonizing work of infinite genius” (ClassicFM) — his Symphony No. 7. Don’t miss this opportunity to watch Boulez and the CSO create this hypnotizing soundscape.
The broadcast will take place at 7pm Central / 5pm Pacific.
