University of Puget Sound's ensemble-in-residence features Professors Maria Sampen, Alistair MacRae, and Tanya Stambuk. Featuring guest artist Dawn Padula, this concert was performed Feb. 7, 2020 as part of the Jacobsen Series to commemorate Beethoven's 250th anniversary.

About the series
The Loggers Perform Series, launched in April in response to COVID-19, continues this summer with a new lineup of virtual performances featuring Puget Sound students in the Adelphian Concert Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Opera Theater, and more. Jacobsen Series faculty performances and special guest artists are included. Themes include honoring the emotional journey of soldiers in battle, and celebrating female and black composers.

Named in honor of Leonard Jacobsen, former chair of the piano department at Puget Sound, the Jacobsen Professional Artist Series was established in 1984 and features School of Music faculty and their guests. Ticket sales support the Jacobsen Series Scholarship Fund, which awards annual music scholarships to an outstanding member of Sigma Alpha Iota, international music fraternity.

The Puget Sound Piano Trio is the ensemble-in-residence at the University of Puget Sound School of Music. Their celebrated performances on the Jacobsen Concert Series and in other Pacific Northwest venues reach the campus community and a large regional and national audience.
