The Houston-based professional ensemble ROCO is excited to offer free weekly livestream rebroadcasts of our past In Concert performances, featuring the full 40-piece chamber orchestra. Each broadcast will take place at 12pm (Pacific), and can be found on both our website and Facebook page, where our guest artists join us each week for chat and Q&A.

ROCO’s 12th season came to a close with Double Trouble, led by conductor Steven Jarvi. The orchestra premiered another newly commissioned work on this concert – Alexander Miller’s ROCOmoji, a concerto grosso for double reeds exploring emotion through sound – with each movement interpreting a different emoji! 😃 ROCO principal flutist, Brook Ellen Ferguson, was also featured as soloist in Saverio Mercadante’s Concerto for Flute in E minor. Rounding out the program were Gustav Holst’s Brook Green Suite and Arnold Schoenberg’s transcendent Verklärte Nacht. Recorded April 1, 2017, at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX.

The broadcast will take place at 2pm Central / 12pm Pacific.
