Providing solace and smiles in this difficult time, the Houston-based professional ensemble ROCO is excited to offer free weekly livestream rebroadcasts of our past In Concert performances, featuring the full 40-piece chamber orchestra. Each broadcast will take place at 12:00pm (Pacific), and can be found on both our Facebook page and website.
We continue our series of broadcasts with "Queen of Hearts" – led by ROCO Artistic Partner conductor Mei-Ann Chen, featuring the works of women. Solitaire, a world premiere commission by Heather Schmidt, spotlighted ROCO concertmaster Scott St. John, and Ruth Gipps’s Seascape for chamber winds, plus Louise Farrenc’s dynamic Symphony No. 3, round out this program. This concert was recorded live Nov. 17, 2018, at The Church of St. John the Divine in Houston, TX , by Blueprint Film Co.
