Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral is closed as a public gathering place through March 31, perhaps longer. Working in consultation with cathedral leadership, we have put protocols and a plan in place allowing some members of the Compline Choir to chant the office of Compline to an empty cathedral. The office will be broadcast live on Classical KING FM 98.1. We also plan to video livestream the service. You can read more about the closure in Dean Thomason’s message.

Every Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m. in the Cathedral's nave, the all-male Compline Choir leads this formal choral service that is a Seattle tradition. An average audience of 500 packs the Cathedral each week for this meditative service. Many more listen to the broadcast on KING-FM, 98.1 on the radio dial. Some weeks, informal organ recitals follow Compline at around 10 p.m.

An Order for Compline can be found in the Book of Common Prayer as part of the Anglican services of daily prayer, known collectively as the Daily Office.
