DSO Music Director Jader Bignami leads the DSO in a program featuring works of Austrian composers that found their inspiration far from home. Franz Schubert composed two overtures “In the Italian Style” as he looked to evoke the music of Rossini, while Haydn’s final symphony was the culmination of a set of twelve written for his travels to London.
The broadcast will take place at 7:20pm Eastern / 4:20pm Pacific. The program will be available for on-demand viewing for two weeks.
