David Lang’s Pulitzer Prize-winning oratorio based on the Hans Christian Anderson story will feature some of Seattle’s finest soloists in a concert that includes new choral works for the full ensemble.
The Emerald Ensemble is a professional chamber choir featuring the finest voices in the Seattle area conducted by Dr. Gary D. Cannon. They sing music of all periods and genres, with emphasis on classical choral repertoire. Beyond traditional concerts, they also aim to bring music directly to locations where the arts rarely extend, such as schools, prisons, hospice care facilities, and homeless shelters. Their mission is to help all people through great choral music presented with passion and skill.
