This family-friendly concert opens with the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Next, another Strauss (Johann) with the Blue Danube Waltz, followed by Concerto Grosso No. 1 by Bloch. The 13-year old winner of the EPO Competition, Carson Ling-Efird, will be featured performing the first movement Lalo's Cello Concerto. The program continues with Tchaikovsky's thrilling Scherzo and Finale from Symphony No. 4. On the last number, the audience will assist the orchestra on Leroy Anderson's audience favorite, Sleigh Ride.

Following the concert, the audience will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the instruments and their players and even have a mini-conducting lesson by music director Dr. Cobbs.
