Schubert – Die schöne Müllerin

Soprano and Seattle Groupmuse founder Emma Lynn and pianist Andrew Pham return to Seattle to perform Franz Schubert's song cycle Die schöne Müllerin. One of Schubert's early and important song cycles, this composition is widely considered to be a masterpiece of German Lied (art song) form.

Emma Rose Lynn is a versatile musician in demand for repertoire that spans the medieval to modern periods. Described as an "eloquent and charming soprano" by the Seattle Times, she was profiled for her entrepreneurial work founding the Seattle chapter of Groupmuse. She finds great joy in ensemble work, singing as a member of the polyphonic vocal ensemble Vox Resonat directed by Eric Mentzel, and at the 2017 World Symposium on Choral Music under the direction of Sharon J. Paul.

A Note from the Host
Ample street parking is available. Metro #5 or #44. Our house is high off the street and it's thirty steps to the front door. Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share.

Note: Please do not arrive early unless you have a special need and have communicated with me. Both hosts and musicians require preparation and set up time. The start time (7:30) means that is the time you should arrive, and you can expect the program will start slightly later. Thanks for your consideration.
