Benjamin Britten — Selected works
André Previn — Selected works
Dominick Argento — Selected works

Emma Rose Lynn, soprano
Andrew Pham, piano

A program of poetry and music for soprano and piano that mirrors the cyclical nature of the changing seasons. The journey begins with the changing colors and falling leaves of autumn, venturing through the episodic slumps of the winter, rejoicing in the burgeoning of new life in the spring, and arriving in the welcome quietude of a warm summer – reflecting on both sentimental moments of the past as well as life's present beauty. The words of master poets such as Emily Dickinson, W. H. Auden, and Robert Louis Stevenson capture the joy, dejection, wonder, and renewal of a year in a life well-lived through the music of composers such as Benjamin Britten, André Previn, Dominick Argento, and more.

A Note from the Host
Ample street parking is available. Metro #5 or #44. Our house is high off the street and it's 30 steps to the front door. Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share. Note: Please do not arrive early unless you have a special need and have communicated with me. Both hosts and musicians require preparation and set up time. The start time (7:30pm) means that is the time you should arrive, and you can expect the program will start slightly later. Thanks for your consideration.
