The Friction String Quartet, based in San Francisco, will be making a rare Seattle appearance. Known for repertory ranging from classics to crossover, they have commissioned nearly 40 new works for string quartet, and are recently returned from Aarhus, Denmark, where they were one of the featured ensembles performing at the New Music for Strings festival.
