Chris Rippey, banjo, bamboo flute, nyckelharpa, frame drums, & fretted cello
Yamini Kalluri, dance

Chris Rippey, composer and creator of the storytelling and music series 'Tales of the Boatman', will perform four new compositions.

Joining him will be renowned Kuchipudi dancer Yamini Kalluri. Her dance will bring the art of storytelling through movement to life, as she embodies the characters and energies depicted in the music.

The music will explore the unique voices of folk instruments. Banjo, both plucked and bowed, bamboo flute, nyckelharpa, frame drums, and fretted cello will come together to create a sound which blends the haunting melodies and driving rhythms of modal traditions with the rich harmonies of classical and baroque music.

The broadcast will take place at 7pm Eastern / 4pm Pacific. Pre-recorded with live video chat.

RSVP for details/broadcast link.

$10+ minimum payment to musicians, $3 reservation fee.
