The Seattle Classic Guitar Society is excited to present the Kithara Duo in a livestream concert and workshop! Kithara Duo (Olga Amelkina-Vera and Fernand Vera) was formed in 2002, when they were graduate students at the University of North Texas.The duo is home to an international award-winning composer (Olga), and their first album is a world premiere recording of her music for guitar duo. In addition to Olga’s original compositions, Fernand and Olga regularly contribute to guitar duo repertoire through arrangements and transcriptions of music by such composers as Isaac Albéniz, Alfonso Ferrabosco the younger, Antonio Soler, and Antonio Vivaldi. Please join us for the Kithara Duo in concert followed by a workshop on arranging and composing guitar music. The concert and workshop will each be around 45 minutes long, with a short intermission in between. Audience members will not have videos or mics, but will be able to interact with the performers with a question and answer session.
The livestream will take place at 7pm Pacific.
