La Isla Foundation & Opera On Tap: Canciones para Puerto Rico

Seattle's finest opera singers, accompanied by pianists Glenda Williams and Luke Raffanti, and guitarists Connor Ritchie and Max Shaffer, return to Mercer Island for another unforgettable night of Spanish canciones, romantic zarzuelas, and more! Enjoy delicious Caribbean-inspired soul food bites from Columbia City's Island Soul Rum Bar & Soul Shack that are ensured to delight your taste buds while Yakima Valley's Paradisos del Sol Winery and Organic Vineyards will offer their full, rich wine pours (available for purchase with ticket or a la carte). Dessert, coffee, and tea will be served during intermission.

Proceeds benefit The Juan Sanchez Rivera Fisherman's Association located in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, that are still needing to replace fishing equipment to work more efficiently and safely. This association of 19 fishermen – including divers, anglers, and net fishermen who work together on 12 boats – reached out to La Isla Foundation, a volunteer-led non-profit organization located in Seattle, Washington, in hopes of acquiring donations that would allow this community to get back on the water to once again make their living as they did before the back-to-back hurricanes made landfall.

Tickets: $25 ($35 one wine pour, $45 VIP, $15 youth). Prices increase $5 at the door.

Doors open at 7:00pm. Semi-formal attire encouraged.
