Franz Schubert – Piano Sonata in A major, D. 959
Frédéric Chopin – Selections from 24 Preludes, Op. 28

Pianist Eric Lu, first place winner of the 2018 Leeds Competition and prizewinner at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, makes a long-anticipated 92Y debut on our virtual stage. In performances of Schubert's late A major sonata, with its breathtakingly beautiful "Andantino" slow movement, and a selection of Chopin Preludes, you'll experience the astonishing depth of feeling and enormous range of colors that The Guardian hailed by saying, "Lu seems already to possess something of the magic touch of...Murray Perahia and Radu Lupu, and is surely one of the most exciting prospects in a long time. A veritable poet of the keyboard."

The livestream will begin at 4:30pm Pacific / 7:30pm Eastern.
