SPCO Principal Bass Zachary Cohen gives the world premiere of a new composition by Ambrose Akinmusire, whose acclaimed studio album Origami Harvest was born out of an SPCO Liquid Music commission in 2017. The remainder of the program travels to the United Kingdom with works by Arthur Bliss and William Walton, as well as Five Postcards, a duo for violin and viola by Belize-born British composer and singer-songwriter Errollyn Wallen, who embellishes her work with a touch of popular writing.
