This week Option features Pedro Lopes. As an extension of the regular Monday night concert series, Option curators invite artists to perform, improvise and discuss their work on the Quarantine Concerts stage.

His various collaborations with visual artists, improvisors, and performers has helped him to form a broad, multidisciplinary landscape that is inspiring to say the least. In addition to Pedro’s work with turntables, his research into human computer interaction is a topic that will undoubtedly be discussed during the conversation portion of the evening and should lead to some very interesting thoughts and ideas."

The Quarantine Concerts are a collaborative endeavor meant to provide artists a space to share their work and continue to earn a living during this time when most live performance opportunities have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We believe in the necessity of art during difficult moments like these, and feel fortunate to live in a time when loss of mobility does not have to mean loss of community. Thank you for being here.
