Pergolesi – Stabat Mater
Join us as we come together for the traditional service of Tre Ore (“Three Hours”) in which we remember the last words of Christ proclaimed from the cross. These brief exclamations are paired with music and reflections exploring themes of grace and faith.
This year, Father Daniel P. Horan, OFM, will preach on each of the Seven Last Words of Christ, accompanied by Jubilate! Young Women’s Ensemble with orchestra, sharing music from Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater. This sacred liturgy is open to all; a freewill offering will be collected to benefit the ongoing work of St. James Cathedral.
