Ingrid Matthews, violin
Tanya Tomkins, violoncello
Tamara Friedman, Viennese fortepiano

Johann Sebastian Bach – Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Violin Sonata in E minor, K.304
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Piano Trio in C major, K.548
Franz Joseph Haydn – Trio in A major, "Polacca"

Internationally acclaimed violinist Ingrid Matthews, violoncellist Tanya Tomkins, and fortepianist Tamara Friedman offer up a veritable feast of music by J. S. Bach (the favorite Cello Suite No. 1), Mozart (the brooding, fiery Violin Sonata in E minor, K. 304, and his masterful Trio in C major, K. 548), and Haydn (the jocular, rip-roaring "Polacca" Trio in A major).

"Playing at a level of deep-seated feeling" (San Francisco Performances)

All of the performers will be playing in historical instruments, using period bows and gut strings, creating the rich, warm sound that conveys these dynamic yet intimate musical works best. The piano will be a fine replica of a 1795 Anton Walter grand fortepiano built by Rodney Regier (Freeport, ME).

Tickets: $30 ($25 seniors, $15 young adults/students, children FREE – ages 7-16, one-on-one with ticket holding adult)
