New Music on the Rock – a project of Island Consort and the Whidbey Island Arts Council – presents Earth Music: Raising Our Elemental Awareness. This year's program features composers Spencer Arias, Sarah Bassingthwaite, Janice Giteck, Jerry Mader, Jacob Mashak, Nicholas Toombs, and this year's composer-in-residence, Angelique Poteat.
Schedule:
4:00 – Concert: Works by all composers, including premieres by Arias, Mader, Mashak & Toombs
5:30 – Composers forum, discussion, and refreshments
7:00 – Concert: Works by Angelique Poteat, including a premiere of Morning at the Sound for wind sextet
