About Northwest Folklife

Northwest Folklife is a community-powered celebration of the music, arts, and heritage that make up the brilliant cultural tapestry of the greater Pacific Northwest. With over 5,000 performers on 20+ stages, 200 vendors, 500 volunteers, and upwards of 250,000 attendees, this remains one of the largest access-for-all festivals in the nation. The festival is more than a celebration of the diversity of the Pacific Northwest, it’s a chance to engage directly with the many communities that make up our region.

We are committed to access for all regardless of background or income and therefore continue to operate without tickets or gates. Each year, Northwest Folklife depends on donations from generous individuals, foundations, government, and corporate partners in order to meet operating expenses, produce the annual Festival, and maintain year-round programs and events. It’s not easy to sustain, and we need your support. Everybody is a bearer of and participant in Folklife, and we are committed to make certain everyone is able to come and celebrate with us.

Tickets: We suggest a donation of $10 per person, per day (or $20 for family/groups), but gladly accept donations of any amount!
