Northwest Mahler Festival

The Northwest Mahler Festival presents a special evening that will help raise funds for their Summer Festival Program. The program will feature songs by woman composers including Khosrovidukht, Barbara Strozzi, Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Josephine Lang, Alma Mahler, Florence Price, and Joni Mitchell.

These will be sung by some of Seattle’s finest voices including Beth Ann Bonnecroy, Ibidunni Ojikut, Melyssa Stone, Gwen Trussler, and Clarice Warrick.

The Northwest Mahler Festival was founded in 1995 by three Seattle area musicians – Dan Weiss, Robin Miller, and David McBride. Their mission is to provide the opportunity for local area musicians, including serious avocational musicians, professionals, and talented students, to experience the large-scale Romantic works not generally accessible to smaller local orchestras, and to bring this music to the public.
