Join Saint Mark's Cathedral Choir, The Compline Choir, and the Chorister of the Cathedral Choir School for this beloved annual liturgy of scripture, prayer, incense, music, and pageantry celebrating the beginning of Advent – the season of longing, vigilance, and expectation in preparation for Christmas.
The "O" Antiphons liturgy uses the seven medieval antiphons (each beginning with the word "O") as a framework for readings, musical reflections, and prayer. The service was created at Saint Mark's, Seattle, and was first offered here in 1986. Today, the form of the liturgy created here is used in churches around the world.
