Teddie Hwang, traverso
August Denhard, theorbo

Teddie Hwang (flute) and August Denhard (theorbo) communicate on all levels as they weave music, history, and personal stories together in an evening of 17th and 18th Century French and German music for flute and lute. Works by Lully, Clerambault, CPE Bach, Quantz, Rameau, Boismortier, Hotteterre, and Weiss.

"Music is about communication on personal levels. As part of expanding my artistic horizon, I decided at one point to present music in ways that I've never done before. Much inspiration came from observing musicians from non-classical traditions and seeing how they connect with the audience. The process brought me back to the essence of music and music-making, which I then realized is what I want to share with my listeners.” ~ Teddie Hwang
