Jeremy Denk, piano

Robert Schumann – Papillons, Op. 2
Clara Schumann – Drei Romanzen, Op. 21
Missy Mazzoli – Bolts of Loving Thunder
Johannes Brahms – Four Piano Pieces, Op. 119

MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” winner Jeremy Denk is “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs, in whatever combination—both for his penetrating intellectual engagement with the music and for the generosity of his playing” (The New York Times). Having sold out his last five PCMS appearances, this Avery Fisher Career Grant winner returns to intimate Benjamin Franklin Hall to demonstrate once again why he is one of the most compelling, thoughtful, and communicative artists before the public today.

This event includes a Q and A with Jeremy Denk after the performance.

The livestream will take place at 7pm Eastern / 4pm Pacific.
