About the artist
A "tour de force" (Aspen Times), percussionist Joseph Bricker is currently a Fellow with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In addition to the Civic, he has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Symphony, New World Symphony, the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet and several others. In the summers, he has been awarded fellowships with the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. Joe can be heard as composer/performer on a 2017 advertisement for TaylorMade-Adidas featuring Tiger Woods. He has studied at DePaul University with Cynthia Yeh and the Juilliard School under Greg Zuber.

Joe made his concerto debut in 2015 under Robert Hasty and the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, and has since won competitions at the Aspen Music Festival (2016), National Public Radio’s “From the Top” (2015), WFMT’s “Introductions” (2015), the Discover National Chamber Music Competition (2015), and was recipient of the 2017 Kerope Zildjian Scholarship. As an educator, he has been engaged as a Teaching Artist by the Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program, Pre-College Division, the Aspen Music Festival, and the People’s Music School. Outside of music, Joe continues to attempt making the perfect at-home pizza, while fending off his two cats from stealing a bite.

The livestream will take place at 8pm GMT / 3pm Eastern / noon Pacific.
