The Houston-based professional ensemble ROCO continues its free, livestreamed In Concert series with "Oceans", a nature-inspired program featuring the orchestra – conductorless! Celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the concert will feature the U.S. premiere of a new ROCO co-commission by Anna Clyne for strings, Stride. Showcasing the flexibility of ROCO, the program also includes Beethoven’s Quintet for Piano and Winds, Coleridge-Taylor’s Nonet, and Bolcom’s Ghost Rags, then wraps up with Debussy’s paean to the sea, La Mer.

*ROCOrooters (ROCO’s music education program for children) has gone virtual—and is available online in conjunction with all of ROCO’s In Concert and Unchambered performances during the 2020-2021 season. “ROCOrooters in the Cloud” includes free, downloadable materials so the whole family can enjoy the concerts together, and a free, interactive, online follow-up lesson is presented each following Saturday. Visit https://roco.org/rocorooters/ for more info and pre-registration, and join ROCO Saturday, November 21st at 10:00 am!*

The livestream will take place at 5pm Central / 3pm Pacific, broadcasting live from The Church of St. John the Divine in Houston, TX.
