The Houston-based professional ensemble ROCO concludes its Season 16 musician-curated Unchambered series with the ROCO Brass Quintet in a program of contemporary works for brass, ranging from Joan Tower to jazz, plus a song by The Beatles!

Streamed live from MATCH, the livestream features Robert Dennis’s Blackbird Variations – a work based on the poem Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird by Wallace Stevens – and an arrangement of The Beatles’ Blackbird by Seb Skelly, plus music by Joan Tower, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Fats Waller, and a medley of tunes by Bix Beiderbecke, arranged by ROCO's own Jason Adams.

ROCOrooters (ROCO’s music education program for children) has gone virtual and is available online in conjunction with all of ROCO’s In Concert and Unchambered performances during the 2020-2021 season. “ROCOrooters in the Cloud” includes free, downloadable materials, with themed learning activities, so the whole family can enjoy the concerts together. More info here: https://roco.org/rocorooters/

The livestream will take place at 5pm Central / 3pm Pacific, broadcasting live from MATCH (Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston).
