Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne, Jonathon Welch – Street Requiem
Johannes Brahms – "How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place" from A German Requiem, Op. 45

Sanctuary Space Arts and Lectures Series presents Street Requiem, an exciting new major Australian work by Kathleen McGuire, Andy Payne, and Jonathon Welch in memory of all those who have died homeless, nameless, and innocent on the streets of our cities around the world. The music is a mix of gospel, Celtic, neo-Romantic, neo-Baroque, Indigenous and contemporary – it is exciting, extremely listenable, and moving. The concert will conclude with Johannes Brahms' "How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place" from A German Requiem.

University Congregational Church joins the choir of First Congregational Church, Bellevue, as well as members of Seattle Women's Chorus and are accompanied by soloists and a small orchestra.

The concert is free and a freewill offering will be taken to support the two churches' homeless programs. Free event parking is available. Doors open 30 minutes before the event. The building is accessible and hearing assistance is available.
