Saratoga Orchestra’s String Ensemble takes to the stage threading musical ideas and stories spanning 300 years. From Boccherini’s rich Rococo palette to the vibrant and dynamic energy of 21st century composer Jesse Montgomery, the works on this program are highly complimentary of each other. We are excited to continue our musical partnership with Tekla Cunningham, founder of Whidbey Island Music Festival and baroque violin specialist, and pleased to introduce guitarist Brig Urias, a rising force in the classical guitar world. A student of legendary guitarist Christopher Parkening, Urias will bring a fresh perspective to our Dance Mix of the old and new.
