This year's Flute Celebration Day is a two-part event showcasing the diverse talents and interests of our local flute community. Join us to kick off the 2019-2020 season with two exciting recitals:
2:00pm-3:00pm – Recital #1: Flute chamber music featuring the flute sections of local ensembles
**with performances by members of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Ah Tempo Flute Choir, Bellevue Youth Symphony, the Jolly-Jones Duo, and Flûtes-en-Bois!**
3:30pm-4:30pm – Recital #2: Contemporary flute music by Pacific Northwest composers
**featuring the music of Steven Luksan, Sarah Bassingthwaighte, Leanna Keith, Bun-Ching Lam, Stuart Zobel, and Naoyuki Sawada!**
As in the past, Flute Celebration Day is a free community event and musicians are donating their services.
Light refreshments will be served in the break between recitals.
