Seattle Pro Musica celebrates International Women’s Day with a tribute to great female composers across the centuries. St. Hildegard of Bingen’s 12th-century chants are juxtaposed with today’s most exciting new composers from North America, Korea and Eastern Europe. SPM’s performance shines a special spotlight on composers of the Pacific Northwest, including Melinda Bargreen – capped off by the regional premiere of Karen P. Thomas’ Caritas abundat.
