Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds is one of the most exciting voices in choral music today, and his Passion and Resurrection is a crowning achievement that has earned him critical raves such as “a powerful and impressive piece,” and “surely set to become a classic.” This large-scale dramatic work for choir, soprano, and strings will be performed with soprano soloist Estelí Gomez from the Grammy Award-winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth. Also performed will be Frank Martin’s incomparable Mass for Double Choir, and the world premiere of Panta rhei, a new work by Seattle Pro Musica’s conductor Karen P. Thomas.
