[CANCELLED] Seattle Symphony: 'Bells' – Piano & Electronics
CANCELLED
- Anthony Romaniuk, piano
- Scott Worthington, electronics
Philip Glass — Selected works
György Ligeti — Selected works
Ludwig van Beethoven — Selected works
Regretfully, guest artist Anthony Romaniuk is unable to join us in Seattle this month due to delays with artist visa processing. Due to this, the presentation of 'Bells': Piano & Electronics, previously scheduled for May 18, has been canceled.
In 2020, Anthony Romaniuk’s album, Bells, was released to universal acclaim — a showcase of contrasting musical genres which few performing artists could achieve. Romaniuk brings repertoire from Bells to the creative possibilities of Octave 9, while LA-based composer Scott Worthington adds electronic soundscapes to repertoire by Henry Purcell, Philip Glass, György Ligeti, Ludwig van Beethoven, and more.
Our new Octave 9 series stretches the boundaries of creative possibility, immersing you in new worlds through the fusion of music and technology.
The Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall will require all event attendees to provide proof of full vaccinations (or a negative COVID-19 test) and to wear masks inside the venue regardless of vaccination status. Visit seattlesymphony.org/safety for more information on our safety measures.
