Former Seattle Symphony Composer in Residence and a master sound sculpture, composer and MacArthur “Genius,” Trimpin is most known for creating sound installations at intersection of music and visual art. His diverse influences come together in his work Solo Flute, Eight Pottery Wheels and Assorted Vinyls. Andrew Stiefel’s Five Ways to Listen to a Mockingbird transforms the mockingbird’s stolen song into a series of meditations on our changing cities and landscapes. To conclude the evening, you’ll experience dynamic percussion works performed by Seattle Symphony guests, the arx duo.
Featuring Seattle Symphony musicians and guests.
