Prokofiev’s second Violin Concerto runs the gamut: melancholic melodies, dazzling fingerwork, soaring themes and a rambunctious stomp of a finale with all the bells and whistles. Augustin Hadelich returns to Seattle to perform this masterpiece under the baton of Conductor Emeritus Ludovic Morlot. Anchoring the program is Haydn’s intense Symphony No. 86.
