Handel – Dixit Dominus
Join us for our thirty-fifth annual New Year's Eve Concert. Dr. Paul Thornock and Cathedral Organist Joseph Adam are joined by members of the Cathedral Cantorei and Chamber Orchestra to ring in the New Year with the music of Handel. Rejoice in the exaltation of Dixit Dominus as the psalmist foretells Christ's coming into the world: "Yours is princely power in the day of your birth, in holy splendor; before the daystar, like the dew, I have begotten you."
The program also includes a Handel organ concerto and other choral works. Advance passes for reserved seating are available at www.stjames-cathedral.org/music, or purchase general admission passes at the door. Doors open at 10:00 pm.
