Three-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn brings her expressive musicality and technical expertise to the first performance of her virtual 3-concert residency.

Hahn's residency is an exclusive series for the Philharmonic Society which will feature the premiere of a new commissioned piece piece by composer Michael Abels, who is best known for scoring the Academy Award-winning film Get Out and the highly anticipated follow-up Us, for which he was awarded "Discovery of the Year" at the 2019 World Soundtrack Awards.

Residency repertoire also includes:

Johann Sebastian Bach – Violin Partita No. 3 in E major, BWV 1006. 1
Lera Auerbach – Lonely Suite for violin and piano, Op. 70, “Ballet for a Lonely Violinist"
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219, "The Turkish" (only the concerto's solo violin parts are performed in a perspective called “Hahn Solo”)
