With the Heather/Dio Duo: Heather Bentley (viola) and Dio Jean Baptiste (drums), plus Darren Palmer (video artist), reflecting on the current connecting viola, drums, and imagery through improvised music and images.

The new ensemble CHA: Carol Levin (electric harp), Heather Bentley (viola and electronics), and Amelia Love Clearheart (vocals, spoken word, and electronics) explores spontaneously arising lyrical, poetic, and musical journeys. Featuring the 7-string electric violin (AKA The Beast). CHA’s recent incubation has benefited from appearances as curators at Racer Sessions and a recent opening for bassist Kelsey Mines’ album release party.

About Heather Bentley

Seattle-based violist and composer Heather Bentley has trailblazed a career as one of the West Coast's most visible improvisatory musicians, specializing in creating evocative atmospheres and textures. Relentless in her pursuit of creativity, she continues this work as co-founder of Kin of the Moon, a 501(c)3 organization which fosters collaboration between artists in service of creating unique art.
