Rising star Benjamin Beilman, violinist, kicks off the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra's 42rd season with Sibelius’ romantic and lush Violin Concerto. Known for his intense and simmering perfect sound, Beilman is a perfect match for the work. The repertoire also features Mendelssohn’s lively & spirited Scottish Symphony, (actually named Violin Concerto in D minor, but known as the Scottish Symphony). You won't want to miss this season opening as Music Director Yaniv Attar begins his 5th season with the WSO!
