The Symphony opens its 43rd season with the premiere of local composer Scott Henderson’s Cascadiana, inspired by the majesty of our natural landscape and composed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the North Cascades National Park. Then, known for his virtuosity and lyricism, internationally-renowned violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley joins us for Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. We round out the program with Beethoven’s celebratory and patriotic Symphony No. 7.
A free pre-concert lecture about the repertoire by Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel starts at 2:15pm.
