This event will feature Scrape with versatile soprano Cherie Hughes, and new works by Jim Knapp and Brian Chin. This is the premiere of Brian Chin’s Obamatorio, a song cycle featuring a selection of President Obama’s statements, as well as new works by Seattle’s beloved Jim Knapp performed by Scrape in partnership with the Seattle Youth Symphony.

About the Universal Language Project
The Universal Language Project is dedicated to creating artisan music through innovative and entertaining programming that can simultaneously push boundaries and dialogue with a mainstream public. Through multi-discipline collaboration and engaging musicians and composers from diverse backgrounds and eclectic genres, the Universal Language Project aspires to generate a body of music that can reach across generational divides, through geographic borders, and beyond spoken language and cultural difference.
