The Daphnes, modern chamber pop trio led by harpist Monica Schley, is pairing with former Rose Windows member Nils Petersen and his new project, Hotel Vignette. The concert evening will feature The Daphnes at 7:30pm followed by Hotel Vignette.
The Daphnes play mesmerizing modern chamber pop compositions featuring Monica Schley (harp and voice), Nate Omdal (bass), and Julie Baldridge (violin). This unconventional trio draws sounds from neo-folkster M. Ward, 90’s alternative bands Mazzy Star and Cowboy Junkies, and jazz musicians Pharaoh Sanders and Alice Coltrane.
Hotel Vignette is the ramblings and bumbles of Nils Petersen with the help of some great musicians in and around the Seattle area. Nils was apart of the Cascadian collective Rose Windows and also offers his bass and vocals to Ole Tinder. He teaches private lessons at Mode Music in Seattle.
