This is a house concert organized through the wonderful site www.groupmuse.com.

We'll perform string trios (violin, viola, cello) by Jean Cras, early 20th century polymath and genuine WWI French Naval hero! This work from 1926 sounds like Impressionism meets North African modality meets Brittany fiddling. Brilliant!

We'll also perform a work by one of the "lost" composers of the 20th Century: Hans Krása, an ingenious Czech musician who was killed at Auschwitz. His Passacaglia and Fugue is a gorgeous and virtuosic work, not only technically, but also compositionally.

RSVP for address.
