Formed at the request of patron Edward Bautler, the Barston Quartet comprises four distinctly individual voices. While youthful in energy and formation, the Barston Quartet members are venerable veterans of chamber music.
Using the European tradition, the quartet was titled from the leader/first violin, Elisa Barston. Staples of the Barston Quartet programs include German and Eastern European masters.
Based in Seattle, the Barston Quartet members are colleagues in the Seattle Symphony.
